This Week wk04 - Psalm 121

Hi everyone, it’s Pastor Dave, and it is time to look ahead to a new week. So, turn in your journal to your “This Week” page, and I pray that your week is going to be awesome. I pray that you have a great week. And so, let’s take a minute to look ahead to the week and spend some time alone with God about it.

Write your Prayers about this week on your “This Week” page and talk to God about what your Spiritual Focus should be this week. And then write that down. Let’s just spend a minute alone with God looking forward to the week ahead and then writing about our prayers and focus for the week.

I’m just going to read a few verses from Psalm 121 this morning, one of my favorite Psalms. And then I’ll pray for us, and then you can spend some time alone with God as you start your week. I’ll read some selected verses from Psalm 121.

Psalm 121 (NLT)
2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!
3 He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber.
. . .
4 The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade.
|. . .
8 The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

Man, that’s a good Psalm. That’s Psalm 121. Let me just pray for us, and I’ll send you on your way.

Heavenly Father, please give us vision for this week. Lord, please help us look ahead to what you would have us focused on and praying for this week. We thank you for a new week, Lord, and we pray that you would bless us, especially with your presence, Lord. That’s what we need. Please fill us with your Spirit, and lead and guide us this week. In your mighty name, Jesus, amen.
