Why did God want to kill Moses in Ex. 4.24?

God is Perfect

Simply put, God is perfect in His holiness and justice.

Moses, for whatever reason, did not circumcise his son. Circumcision was the sign of the Abrahamic Covenant. Certainly, it would be problematic for God's chosen leader of Israel to be guilty of not performing this rite.

God's intention obviously wasn't to kill Moses or He would have. God's intention is to incline Moses to perform the rite before he went to deliver God's people from Egypt. It Worked!
