We can be washed thoroughly from our iniquity, and cleansed completely from our sin. God will cleanse us from the guilt of our sin against Him, He will forgive the guilt of our sin and our rebellion. God will sprinkle clean water on us, and we will be clean. Our filth will be washed away, and we will be cleansed from our idols.

But this can only happen by us being born again. We must be Born again. Unless we are born of water and of the Spirit we cannot enter the kingdom of God.

By faith we receive the sacrifice of Jesus Christ that causes us to be born again. Because Jesus Christ, with His own blood, entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever. Under the Old Testament sacrificial system the blood of animals could cleanse people’s bodies from ceremonial impurity. Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship and serve the living God.

And yet, Lord Jesus, You saved us for Your name’s sake, that You might make known Your mighty power. So that your Name may be proclaimed in all the earth. So that, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God might be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was Your eternal plan.

Not to us Lord, not to us, but to Your name goes all the glory, for the sake of Your unfailing love and Your faithfulness, because of Your incredible mercy and truth.

Thank you Lord God, for your incredible love and faithfulness. We stand in awe at your ways, and we are humbled by your incredible forgiveness. May our salvation always cause us to praise you, and serve you.
