Do you know that God’s Word says . . .
Our Savior Christ Jesus has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. In fact, Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life,” and “Because I live you also will live.”
If we are in Christ, we share in His life, we share in the Holy Spirit, we share in the divine nature. The first man, Adam, became a living being, but the last Adam, Jesus Christ, became a life-giving spirit. And just as we have borne the image of the man Adam, we shall also bear the image of Jesus Christ. Incredible!
It’s a mystery for sure, but there is a day coming when we who are in Christ will be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we who are alive will be changed. And then this mortal body will put on immortality, and the saying will come to pass; “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
Therefore guys, let’s be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord our effort is not in vain.
One day, we’ll be at the throne in heaven singing with those created for worship, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”
And we will fall down before Jesus on the throne and we will worship Him who lives forever and ever. We’ll cast our crowns before Him, saying, “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
He alone is worthy of praise, so let’s praise Him for the gift of life, and life eternal.
