Heb 4:14-16 - “Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Jesus Christ truly is our Great High Priest, who lives forever to intercede for us at the right hand of the Father (Heb 7:25). He is there on our behalf. He has made a way for us to ultimately be there with Him, and for us to be strengthened while we are here. So we can hold fast to our confession of Faith. Our Faith can be a rock solid foundation. Because whatever we’re experiencing, no matter how difficult, Jesus Christ has experienced the same, and even much more, on our behalf. He’s been where we are at, and even deeper, and He passed thru those difficulties on our behalf. He endured that suffering on our behalf (Isa 53). And He was victorious through it all, on our behalf, so that our victory is guaranteed “In Him”. And now, we can come boldly to His throne to find mercy and grace to help in our time of need. If He’s already passed thru the fire on our behalf to gain the ultimate victory for us. How much more is He willing to pour out grace & mercy for us now, to get us thru these current trials. He is willing, and able, and He wants us to come to Him to receive all we need. Pastor Dave
